Thank you so much for supporting patient housing and Teens with Heartsongs. At Children’s National, the housing program is funded 100% by philanthropy, and many families rely on the hospital to provide accommodations and cover any associated costs. On average, 300 families require housing annually at the cost of $400,000. Stone Ridge students strongly value community and believe that every child deserves to receive the best care possible. We hope to expand the borders of our sisterhood to reach those who need our support the most. If you have ever had a sick child in your family, you know how parents are swept up into a tornado of stress, having to worry about the cost of travel, temporary housing, as well as their sick child when treatment is far from home. Often, parents are so focused on the well-being of their child that, by the end of the day, they have nowhere to lay their own heads on a pillow. Your donations will help provide families of patients at Children’s National with stable housing close to the hospital. This cause is so important to us at Stone Ridge because we believe in the importance of a social awareness that impels us to action. Thank you for helping us reach our goal of $16,000!
