Since then, through their store fundraising efforts, Food Lion has raised approximately $2,238,016.10 for Children's National Medical Center and over $33 million, over the last 19 years, for the 31 Children's Miracle Network hospitals in their 11 state operating area. The annual "Food Lion ... for the Children" campaign raises money for local Children's Miracle Network hospitals through customers’ purchase of paper CMN balloons. In addition, the Food Lion associates raise money throughout the year through sponsoring car shows, golf tournaments, and hosting customer appreciation days.
Food Lion strives to be a caring neighbor and good corporate citizen in the communities it serves.
