The DC Design House is a wonderful event which brings the community together to learn and share the latest in interior design, all for the benefit of Children’s National Medical Center.

We chose Children’s as the beneficiary of the event because of the great work they do both as a cutting edge leader in children’s healthcare and also because of the uncompensated care they provide to those unable to afford treatment.

Design, history, fine living, and a worthy cause came together for DC Design House, the region’s premiere residential design showcase. Fifteen of the area’s top interior designers are selected to decorate one room each in a historic Georgetown home, which is open to the public for three weeks during the event. All proceeds benefit Children's National Medical Center.
In its 2008 inaugural year, DC Design House raised more than $100,000 for Children’s National. DC Design House is now in the planning stages for its fourth year.
Event founders Skip and Debbie Singleton partner with an all-volunteer team of organizers, sponsors, regional media, design industry manufacturers and some of the nation’s most awarded and widely recognized designers.
Skip and Debbie do not have children, and they strongly feel raising money for the hospital is their way to connect with children in need both in our community and throughout the world. Design House volunteers share the tremendous sense of accomplishment in their achievement.
