The commitment to help our colleagues, friends, and neighbors in need is a long-standing core value shared by both our employees and ExxonMobil. We have a wonderful opportunity to help those that are less fortunate through our unselfish giving to the Employees' Favorite Charities Campaign. For ten years, ExxonMobil has supported Children’s National Medical Center through its Employees’ Favorite Charities Campaign. Last year alone, they raised over $40,000 for the hospital.
Each year, ExxonMobil challenges its employees to reach 100% participation in their employee giving campaign. In 2008, they reached over 98% participation. They even added an incentive to donating by providing a partial match of the employee donations.
ExxonMobil seeks to engage its employees in not only donating their money, but also their time. In January, ten employees from ExxonMobil visited the hospital to host a patient play day. ExxonMobil employees played games with the patients and spent the evening bringing smiles to the faces of kids in the hospital (pictured above).
