For the past six years, WFLS-FM has held two-day radiothons to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network. As the local children’s hospital for Frederickburg, Children’s National Medical Center has been the beneficiary of the station’s efforts.

Several DJs and staff members visit the hospital each year to meet and interview some of our patients, and they are always excited to meet the kids they are helping through their event. Since it first began, the radiothon has raised more than $500,000.

WFLS also sponsors several events throughout the year designed to raise additional funds for Children’s Miracle Network, including a Cosmic Bowling night in February.
