Once again, it's time for the RACE FOR EVERY CHILD for Children's National. After another year of the pandemic and the delta variant gaining ground, we know how important our health, healthcare providers and hospitals are to us. And for children that means our own Children's National. Whether we return downtown to run/walk around the Mall, in our neighborhoods or just virtually, I hope you can support me.
As most of you well know, my connection to Children's runs deep. It first started with my girls growing up with the children of Kurt's as well as Dr. Stephen Teach However, when KK now 23 got her third and most servere concussion at 15, we became a long term family/patient and witnessed up close what a special place Children's is. KK saw scores of doctors and therapists for over two years, and found her role model in Dr. Elizabeth Wells, her fabulous neurologist. From that point on, KK decided she wanted to be a neurologist. This August she started Medical School to fulfill that dream and who knows she may possibly return as a doctor at Children's.
Under the newly formed, Founders Auxiliary Board - FAB- of Children's Hopsital, I am raising money so FAB can continue to award grants and major gifts that propels innovative research and world class care Please join me for truly a fun morning and/or make a contribution to my FAB team.
