You’ve landed here on our TEAM TOBY AND AMELIA fundraising page to benefit the 2023 Race for Every Child! Children’s National is always there for our kids, our families and our community here in the Washington, DC area. 

When oncologists at Children's first diagnosed our then four-year-old Toby with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in January of 2022, Ben and I knew they were at the right place for his cancer.  

Our heart sunk when our friend Amelia was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in May of this year, shortly after her fourth birthday.  Thanks to the great care she has received at Children's, she is now an out-patient known for her cheerful energy and good attitude on the oncology floor.

Amelia and Toby are speeding through their 2.5 year treatment protocol thanks to the expertise, experience, and empathy our care teams.  Their doctors and nurses work long, hard hours to ensure that Amelia and Toby get tailored, cutting edge medical care. The Child Life Specialists at Children's are also exceptional, always anticipating when Amelia and Toby might need some extra attention.
