Race for Every Child 2023

Team Keelyn

Keelyn Joy was born on May 1st, 2017, with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Her name means "strong warrior." From day one she lived up to her name and fought to overcome the many obsticles in front of her; including 3 cardiac cath procedures, 3 cardiac arrests, and 3 open heart surgeries. She frequently exceeded expectations and is a constant inspiration of strength and bravery. After fighting for 228 days, Keelyn went to be in the arms of Jesus. We are forever grateful for the amazing team of doctors and nurses at Children's National in the CICU for their care and support of Keelyn; and for the way they loved her and her family as their own.

On Saturday, October 21st, we are participating in Children’s National's annual Race for Every Child 5K and Kids Dash at Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C for Keelyn, in her memory. Please join us in making a difference for kids in our community. Your support of the Race for Every Child helps Children’s National ensure that every child in our community gets world-class care, regardless of their ability to pay.
Thank you for helping to give more children a chance for a healthier future!
