You’ve landed on my fundraising page in support of TEAM ANNIYAH to benefit the 2024 Race for Every Child. Children’s National is always there for our kids, our families and our community.
Our wonderfully made Anniyah has been a patient of Children's National since birth. That was 18 years of partnership and collaboration with us to not only help her survive but thrive! And, more recently with my nephew Quincy with his diagnosis of Autism and the supported services that will aide in us providing him the best possible opportunities.
The money that Team Anniyah raises will go to the Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) at Children's National. This council is near and dear to me as I have been a PFAC Advisor for 12 years and fully support it's mission of advancing patient and family centered care to ensure that patients and families are treated with respect and compassion throughout their treatment journey.
Sadly, we lost Anniyah recently, but that does not stop our efforts to enhance Patient and Family Centered Care and thus we continue to fundraise, this year in Anniyah's memory as a part of her legacy. By reaching our goal of $8,000, we will be able to provide much needed items to refocus attention, relieve anxiety, reduce stress, improve pain management, and enhance palliative care therapies. With your help, we can help improve the patient family experience!
