Your donation supports groundbreaking pediatric research andworld-class care for patients and their families.  

Our team, NICU Brainy Kids, will be fundraising for the CAM Fund (#44508) generously started by the Maloney Family after their daughter was cooled in the Children's National NICU in 2013. These funds will be used to support education and research to advance the care of and develop better therapies for newborns with brain problems so that they can grow up to the best people they can be, even if that is different. Past support for Team NICU Brainy Kids have supported clinical research including our brain cooling program, brain protection trials, neonatal seizures, hemimegalencephaly program, and neonatal strokes. We could not have done all this without the support of our patients, their families, and friends!

Children's National was named by U.S. News & World Report as the #1 NICU in the country for the 4th year in a row, our Neurology department was ranked #3, and our hospital remains in the top 10 children’s hospitals nationwide. Our Neonatal Neurology program has added two new physicians for a total of 7 neonatal neurologists and 5 fetal neurologists, the largest program in the world. Together with the NICU and other departments, we are developing new clinical treatments and expanding our grant-funded clinical research. Our goal is that every newborn should have access to high-quality neurologic care tailored to a newborn.
