If you know us, you know that all three of our kids have been long time patients of Children's, and how much we appreciate our hospital. Joining Team Sink means you will be a part of the team that supports the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) Family Fund, supporting the families of kids who have severe heart issues or are recovering from heart surgery. When Jax finally weighed seven pounds at three months old, he had open heart surgery to repair five significant defects. We spent 10 days at Children's as he recovered from that procedure, most of which were spent in the CICU. The beautiful thing about Children's National is their commitment to supporting the families of their little patients. This fund is important, and this year we're proud to dedicate our efforts to supporting families like ours.
