Welcome to our team fundraising page to benefit the Race for Every Child 2024! 

Funds raised by the Brain Tumor Trouncers helps to bring cutting edge clinical trials and new treatment options to kids with brain tumors. Opening and and running these clinical trials requies a lot of specialized people to manage the regulatory steps, the correlative biology studies, the drug processing and dispensing, the data gathering and entry, the event and outcome reporting and to just generally help families navigate the complexity of clinical research. 

This year, we will be opening a new trial called IMPACT which will leverage technology discovered at Children's National. In brief, we will use a patient's genetic code and proteins from their tumor to identify abnormal proteins that are unique to the tumor cells  and can be targeted by cellular therapy. We will make these tumor specific antigen T-cells (TSA-T) in our GMP facility here at Children's from a patient's own immune cells and then provide them back to fight the patient's tumor. Please join us to bring this new therapy to our children facing brain cancer and their devoted families.
