You’ve landed on TEAM ANNIYAH's fundraising page to benefit the 2024 Race for Every Child. Children’s National has always there for our kids, our families and our community.
Our Wonderfully made Anniyah was a patient of Children's National her entire life. That was 18 years of partnership and collaboration with us to not only help her survive but thrive and write her own story.
Anniyah will not physically be with us this year - but Team Anniyah will raise funds and walk as a way to continue her legacy of advocacy and support for others.
The money that Team Anniyah raises will go to the Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) at Children's National. This council is near and dear to me as I have been a PFAC Advisor for nearly 11 years and fully support it's mission of advancing patient and family centered care to ensure that patients and families are treated with respect and compassion throughout their treatment journey.
PFAC raises funds to help support Children's National's programs. By reaching our goal of $5,000, we will be able to provide much needed comfort items to aid in the healing process of families receiving both inpatient, outpatient and emergency room services (i.e. meal cards, blankets, kneeling pads for prayer, medication and mindfulness supplies for healing spaces within the hospital, music and art therapy items) and items that may aid in nurse wellness. With your help, we can help improve the patient family experience!
