You’ve landed here on our team fundraising page to benefit the 2024 Race for Every Child! 

We are walking in honor of Kasey Zachmann, who has been battling medulloblastoma since 2021. Kasey is a compassionate, smart, creative 9-year-old who wants to be a chef when she grows up. She loves music (especially Gwen Stefani and The Lumineers), art, dance, Legos, and spending time with her family, especially her little sister Zara.

Medulloblastoma is an aggressive brain cancer, and we need more funding to help find a cure for kids like Kasey! Kasey has participated in 3 clinical trials that were unsuccessful in treating her cancer, and she is currently undergoing maintenance treatment to try to keep her tumors stable for as long as possible. She needs more and better treatment options! We are in a race against time for new discoveries to be made that can hopefully cure Kasey.  We appreciate anything you can do to help us win this race! All donations to Team KVZ will go directly to the Neuro Oncology Discovery Fund at Children’s National.
