We are participating in the Race for Every Child because we want to show our support to all those who had a part in our son Tyler's journey.

For those of you who do not know, Tyler was prenatally diagnosed with Transpostion of the Great Arteries (TGA) and underwent successful open heart surgery at Children's National at 5 days old. The support we received from family and friends, along with the care we received while in the CICU and HKU was unremarkable and cannot be rivaled. Tyler's story is a success thanks to the entire Children's National team.  We are forever grateful for all of the medical staff, family and friends who supported the Brandt family, each playing an intergral role in Tyler's life.
